" 카사다 (또는 카소도 ) 의식의 전설 "
전설에 따르면, tenggeresse(탱거족)는 Majapahit왕국에서 유래되었습니다. Majapahit왕국이 기울어져 갈 때, 힌두 승려들은 동쪽으로 옮겨가 화산 부근에 도달했습니다. 브라만 계급의 joko seger에게 시집간 Brawijaya왕비는 boro anteng이라는 이름을 가진 딸을 낳았습니다.
그들이 올바른 통치를 하게되었을 때, 그들은 그들자신에게 PURBAWASESO MANGKURATING TENGGER 칭호를 부여했습니다.
" TENGGER "라는 말은 그들의 이름인 " ROro AnTENG " 그리고 " joko seGER "의 마지막 음절의 결합어로 파생되어졌다.

The legend of kasada ceremony...................
According to the legend, Tenggeresse came from Majapahit kingdom. when the Majapahit kingdom was at a decline, the Hindu Buddhist sect moved easter and reached the vicinity of the valcanoes. the consort of King Brawijaya gave birth a daughter, named Roro anteng, who was later married to joko seger of a Brahmin caste. when they become rightful rules, they gave themselves the title PURBAWASESO MANGKURATING TENGGER. the word TENGGER was derived from the joining of the last syllable of their name, Roro AnTENG and joko SeGER. Roro Anteng and joko seger were not endowed with an heir to the throne. needless to say they implored to the Gods in their prayers and supplication and were answered because of their steadfast faith. the Gods, nevertheless, set a precondition which requires them to make a sacrifice of the youngest of their offspring. it was an abundant harvest, Roro Anteng gave birth 25 children in all. when the time came for them to carry out their pledge, they were both afraid and reluctant to sacrifice their youngest children named Raden Kusuma. The angry Gods issued a threat of punishment if the promise was not kept. there upon they agreed to perform their duty and when the child Kusuma was consumed by the fires of the crafter, a voice arising from the smoke announced, " My mission to appear before Hyang Widi is to bring salvation and bountiful harvest to the Tenggeresse. So return and life peacefully but remain faithfull. on the 14th day of the Kasada month(twelve) of the calender when the moon is full, remember to bring all your offerings of fruits, vegetables, or animals, to Hyang Widi” said Kusama. That is the legend to which each Kasodo month Tenggeresse conducts KASODO CEREMONY.
